When does Harry Potter and the HAlf Blood Prince come to dollar theaters?
Q. A good setimated guess would be good or a website! Thanks!
Asked by Bubbles - Sat Aug 15 12:06:54 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. It already is here (Pensacola, FL). The movie has already been out for over a month. Now at big theaters it only has about 3-4 showings a day. So it should be in dollar theaters. And its up to the theater if they want to have that movie. they may never have that movie at their theater. go to it and ask when they will have it.

A. Sadly, many have long since closed. (The Foundry in Georgetown.) Your best bet is to catch free classic movies at the Library of Congress (starting again in February), art films at the National Gallery or Smithsonian, or during the summer's Screen on the Green on the National Mall, or out in Betheseda, Maryland. There are still several dinner/drafthouse cinemas in the area that show (post) first-run and classic films.

How often do you go out to watch movies in theaters and pay full price?
Q. Ticket costs for movies seem to be skyrocketing. I think the last time I went to the theater, it was over 12 dollars for an adult admission. We used to go out to the movies at least once every few weeks, now, we're lucky if we go out once every few months. So how often do you watch movies at the theater and pay full price? Or do you go to the dollar theaters or watch movies during the day when tickets cost half price?
Asked by olliebee - Tue Oct 17 01:08:54 2006 - - 25 Answers - 0 Comments
A. As a family of 5, very rarely! It will cost us about 100 bucks to all see a movie and get popcorn and pop. I sure can't afford that! I heard that the theaters don't make any money on ticket sales anyways. I figgure if they charged 2 bucks a ticket people could afford to buy tonnes of popcorn and pop (the big money producers for theaters) and make all of their money that way. I know that when we go to the movies, we never buy treats because the tickets were already so expensive. So we sneak a treat in. If they were to lower the ticket prices, tonnes more people would go and that would lead to more food sales and more money for the theater. It make sense to me!

Q. For those that don't know, The "Dollar Theaters" are a generic name for discount theaters... I found these on my own... for instance, the one in North Richland Hills is $1.25... A. is it cinemark movie 10? No one calls this place Cinemark. It's the Dollar Theaters - or just Dollaz if you're really down. Hands down, the sweetest. I didn't say the best. There's a big difference. More often than not, The Dollaz is actually a very poor place to try to concentrate on a movie. The seats aren't very comfortable and it's usually pretty noisy. But it is an awesome place to kill time.
