Are there any good dollar theaters in kansas city, mo?
Q. I know there was one near metro north mall but apparently it closed a while back. Movie ticket prices are crazy and I used to love going to the dollar shows when I was in college (in columbia, mo). I cant find any when I google.

A. It already is here (Pensacola, FL). The movie has already been out for over a month. Now at big theaters it only has about 3-4 showings a day. So it should be in dollar theaters. And its up to the theater if they want to have that movie. they may never have that movie at their theater. go to it and ask when they will have it.

Movies are going to video so fast these days that I don't see how it could work, unless as the second responder said, you're targeting an older audience with an idea of re-creating the good-'ol days of going to the cinema. The independent cinema movement seems to be a difficult business in America. Unless there is public tax dollars supporting a cultural center where a cinema and performance stage are shared, I don't see it economically viable. If you decide to go "retro" and show B&Ws, I sincerely wish you the best with it. It's a good idea--and I think that reply #2 should get picked 'best answer.'

i work at regal and we usually charge 3.75 for these. the concession items are expensive because they don't make a lot of money off the ticket is somewhere under a . dollar. a ticket they make i forget the exact amount ...
